ORGN 445 |
| Chromophore based on a donor-acceptor-donor system possessing a large two-photon absorption cross section has been synthesized. It shows high selectivity toward Zn2+ ion over the other metal ions. A bathochromic shift from 505 nm to 535 nm can be observed upon binding Zn2+ ion in MeCN/H2O(9:1). The systen can be exploited to develop a two-photon fluorescent sensitive probe for Zn2+ ion. |
