Fluoromethyl and difluoromethyl groups play major roles in pharmaceutical and agrochemical fields. Our group, over the years, has developed extensive fluoroalkylation methods based on silicon reagents. Now we would like to disclose convenient electrophilic and nucleophilic fluoroalkylation methods using sulfur based reagents. The methodology has been extended to polymer bound systems.
