| In continuation of our ongoing projects on copper-catalyzed direct arylations through C–H activation, we found an efficient direct intramolecular arylation reaction of aryl halides under basic conditions for the coupling of aryl moieties via aryne intermediate. The coupling reaction proceeds efficiently under moderate to high temperatures in a variety of solvents. |
