A general and efficient peptidic ketone synthesis was developed from peptidic thiol ester and boronic acid cross coupling using only catalytic Copper(I) 3-methylsalicylate under the air. This reaction is realized from the introduction of a specific template group on the thiolester (thiosalicylamides).
