Organosilicon chemistry has grown in importance in recent years and has been applied to most aspects of organic, synthetic methodology.

Two new synthetic methodologies, based on organosilicon chemistry will be reported: the silyl-tethered Pauson-Khand reaction and the use of silylmethylcyclopropanes in heterocycle synthesis.
