Recent advances in decarboxylative sp3-sp3 coupling will be covered. Decarboxylation facilitates the formation of a variety of reactive organometallics from carboxylic acid derivatives under mild conditions. These reactive intermediates undergo a variety C-C and C-N bond forming reactions.
