Glycosylation of proteins and small molecules is a complex natural process to tune the structure and function of various natural products. This lecture will cover recent advances in the development of new tools to tackle this problem and suggest new opportunities associated with the problems. Subjects to be discussed include: glycoprotein synthesis, glycoarray development, glycoproteomic probes development and carbohydrate-based drug discovery.
