Gymnasterkoreayne B was one of six new polyacetylenes isolated from the roots of Gymnaster koraiensis by Bae in 2002. It has been shown to exhibit significant cytotoxicity against L1210 tumor cells. An efficient synthesis of the C1-C12 has been developed. The efforts toward the total synthesis of Gymnasterkoreayne B will be described.
