| This presentation discusses recent progress in synthesis and charge transport studies on new conjugated diblock co-oligomers. Several donor-acceptor types of diblock oligomers were synthesized, which bear thiol functional groups. These molecules can be immobilized on a gold surface with controlled directionality, which presents an unambiguous way to investigate charge transport through these molecules. Pronounced rectifying effect was observed in these assemblies. Other structural effects, such as conformation and protonation will also be discussed. |
