In this report a new matrix of artificial lung was designed for improving the ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation). Co(II)-S-EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene monomer) was imparted antiaging ability by modification with 2, 2'-methylenebis via blend. The results show that the ionomer membrane has property of anti-aging in the blood and the permeability coefficient of CO2 is increased by 10 barrer. In the experiment the ionomer membrane showed good blood compatibility (anti-hemolytic, anti-cruor and anti-thrombus property). We chose tripoli tinysieve-tube as scaffold material for Co(II)-S-EPDM ionomer membrane in the matrix, the permeation capability of CO2 and O2 of the matrix are 6L/min•m2 and 2.8 L/min•m2 under 0.02 MPa at 310 K in ex vitro. The matrix which composes of tripoli tinysieve-tube and the ionomer membrane shows a potential foreground in the field of gas separation.
