We have been engaged in a broadly based effort to develop protic acid-catalyzed carbon-nitrogen and carbon-carbon bond forming reactions. Our recent development of new aziridination reactions, insights into issues of mechanism, and the elucidation of proton coordination chemistry as it relates to enantioselective catalysis will be discussed.
