Synthesis of 3-aroyl-N-2,4-dichlorophenylindoles

3-(1-napthoyl)-N-2,4-dichlorophenylindole,3-benzoyl-N-2,4-dichlorophenylindole,3-(4-biphenylcarbonyl-N-2,4-dichlorophenylindole were synthesized as novel indoles by reactions of N-2,4-dichlorophenylindole with 1-naphthoylchloride, benzoylchloride, 4-biphenylcarbonylchloride in the presence of ethylaluminiumdichloride as catalyst.
