Anodic olefin coupling reactions can be used as a tool to form a C-C bond between two nucleophiles. The cyclization between furan and a variety of electron rich olefins have been investigated. An approach toward the total synthesis of (-) Arteannuin M via two tandem anodic oxidation reactions is under development.
