| The synthesis and biological activity of diazofluorene and diazobenzofluorene derivatives will be presented. Simplified derivatives that mimic the DNA cleaving activity of kinamycin D have been identified. Their ability to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells will also be discussed. |
