Catalytic highly enantioselective C-H oxidation of vic-diols with Shi's oxazolindione dioxiranes

The first dioxiranes-mediated catalytic highly enantioselective C-H oxidation protocol was realized with the Shi's oxazolidione ketone catalysts. Very good enantioselectivity (up to 92% ee) may be obtained for both asymmetrization of meso vic-diols and kinetic resolution of racemic vic-diols.
