Catalytic activity of N-heterocyclic carbene cationic copper(I) complexes

Novel [(NHC)Cu] X complexes have been prepared and fully characterized. These air- and moisture-stable complexes efficiently catalyze the hydrosilylation of several carbonyl compounds. Mechanistic aspects of this transformation will be discussed.
