| Multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) are of both fundamental and technological interest, which have the potential to be transferred into high sensitive biosensor. In this work, MWCNT were treated in boiling nitric acid to cut them into short pipes and create carboxyl groups at the end of carbon nanotubes. Then the cationic polyelectrolyte quaternized chitosan and negative charged MWCNTs were alternately deposited on the surface of quartz slides substrate by layer-by-layer self-assembly technology. The process of assembly was monitored through UV-vis spectrum and surface contact angle, which indicate a homogeneous and consecutive growth. AFM, SEM were used to characterize the surface structure of the QCS/MWCNT multilayer films. Surface Raman spectrum and photoluminescence spectrum of the polysaccharide carbon nanotubes nanocomposite films were recorded. The novel polysaccharide based hybrid films show special and stable optical properties, which have the potential to serve as a basis for future biosensors. |
