| Some chemical and physical properties of trioctylmethylammonium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl) imide have been measured. These included: HNMR, CNMR and IR spectroscopic characterization as well as determination of solubility in water and a variety of organic solvents. The interaction of the neat ionic liquid and potassium permanganate solid was also studied to determine its suitability for use as a permanganate oxidation solvent. |
