Efforts towards the utilization of oligomeric soluble triphenylphosphine (OTTP) for functional group transformation is presented. Generation of the functionalized norbornenyl-based triphenylphosphine monomer followed by ROM polymerization utilizing Grubbs metathesis catalysts provides soluble oligomeric triphenylphosphine (OTPP) of different lengths and tunable properties. The utilsation of OTPP in a variety of synthetic transformations is presented.
