Synthesis and cycloaddition reactions of ynamides: General methods for the preparation of 3–aminocyclobutenones and polycyclic nitrogen heterocycles

A general method for the synthesis of ynamides via copper-mediated N-alkynylation of amine derivatives will be described. The application of ynamides as synthetic building blocks in cycloaddition reactions leading to a variety of carbocyclic and heterocyclic compounds will be illustrated.
