The use of olefin metathesis in dynamic combinatorial chemistry is of interest as a method in generating a library of cyclic peptidomimetics. Several peptide derivatives possessing diene functionality were synthesized and subjected to Grubbs' second generation catalyst. Various conditions, such as substrate and catalyst concentrations, as well as different templates, were explored.
