A variety of readily available, proximate dienes can be easily converted into their corresponding benzo, naphto or higher arene derivatives. Many V- and U-shaped representatives are literature known and have been investigated toward their photoreactivity, their application as potential molecular tweezers or other devices. This poster will present the syntheses and discuss properties of several fluorobenzo derivatives.
