| Pyrroles are very important compounds because of their pharmacological properties. Despite their importance from pharmacological, industrial, and synthetic point of views, comparatively few methods for their preparation have been reported. I wish to report a convenient and efficient method for the synthesis of substituted pyrroles by the condensation of amines and 1,4-diketones in the presence of a catalytic amount of scandium triflate at room temperature. Results of this study will be presented. |
