Fluorinated norbornyl alcohols and amines are useful intermediates for chemical synthesis. In this presentation, we describe the regio- and stereoselective synthesis of (1R,2S,4R)-5,5-difluorobicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-amine from 2,5-norbornadiene.
