Synthesis and structural studies of carbenes and their precursors

The synthesis and reactions of the carbenes and their precursors with the following general structure will be presented. Oxygen, nitrogen, and sulfur were used for X1 and X2 in various combinations and bromine was used as Y1 and Y2.
