Synthesis of acyloxynitrobenzoic acids

The synthesis of acyloxynitrobenzoic acids (and derivatives) as synthetic substrates for snake venom enzymes has brought about great interest in mapping the enzymatic kinetics of the highly specific Phospholipases A2. Our lab is working with derivatives of the compounds below. The synthesis of these compounds and the kinetic data obtained from reactions with phospholipases A2 will be presented.
