Intramolecular charge-transfer interactions in two new dyads based on C60 and bis(N,N'-dimethyl or diphenyl substituted) aniline donor

Two methanofullerene dyads 1 and 2 based on C60 and bis-aniline donor were synthesized and characterized by NMR and MALDI-TOF methods. Cyclic Voltammetry, UV/Vis spectra and fluorescence spectra were measured and compared. After addition of one drop of trifluoroacetic acid to the solution of the dyad 1, the UV/Vis spectrum showed hypochromic shift, and the fluorescence peak showed hyperchromic shift, respectively. However, dyad 2 showed less effects as expected.
