Studies towards the stereoselective synthesis of FR-900482

FR-900482 is an antitumor antibiotic isolated from Streptomyces sandaensis. Its highly promising antitumor activity in human clinical trials and unique structure FR-900482 make it an attractive synthetic target for the application of new methodologies. Progress towards a stereoselective synthesis of FR-900482 utilizing spirodiepoxides will be presented.
