Acylation and amidation are among the most common reactions in modern chemical synthesis. Herein, Polymer Laboratories will report a range of very useful solid supported active ester reagents, which can be used for a range of synthetic transformations. Polymer Laboratories has developed a solid supported reagent, which is highly effective in the conversion of amines to methacrylate or acrylate monomer species. These allow for facile access to a range of functional monomers for high throughput polymer research and polymer therapeutics. The synthesis of diversely functionalized sulfonamides and amines can be achieved in a one pot chemical process, and this will also be described.
