| Elsholtzia densa Benth is an important Chinese herbal medicine, which can treat the flu and tumefaction. Its variety var. calycocarpa (Dields) C. Y. Wu et S. C. Huang growing in the northwest of China is always used for its replacement. A new flurancoumarin, 9-O-isopropyl-4-methoxypsoralen was isolated from its whole plant. The structure was elucidated by spectral methods (1H NMR, 13C NMMR, HRMS, IR). In addition, other three known flavonoinds were also isolated and elucidated. |
