New bis(phosphorine) ligand for highly enantioselective hydrogenations

A new bis(phosphorine) ligand has been efficiently synthesized in 3 steps. Highly enantioselectivity has been achieved in Rh-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenations of beta-dehydroaminoacid derivatives and arylenamides (up to over 99% ee for both classes).
