Peptide bond formation is fundamental to synthetic, biosynthetic, and abiotic chemistries. Over the past 30 years, our laboratory has journeyed through these three chemistries in developing methods and strategies for forming peptide bonds from totally protected to unprotected forms, and from organic solvents to aqueous conditions.
