Introduction of long-alkyl chain group as protecting group of glycosyl acceptor made it possible to dissolve selectively in the cycloalkanes solvents of the biphasic solution composed of cycloalkanes and polar solvents. Excess polar reagent or catalysts were removed easily by biphasic liquid-liquid extraction. Cycloalkanes soluble platforms enabled the efficient oligosaccharide synthesis high purity. This synthetic method improved some of disadvantage of solid-phase oligosaccharide synthesis.
