Recent studies in alkaloid total synthesis

Natural products continue to reveal new structural motifs that serve as a stimulus for the development of new methods and strategies in organic synthesis. This lecture will describe recent efforts at Irvine to develop total synthesis entries to rare, structurally unique alkaloids such as the ones depicted below.
