Reactions dimethyl platinum cyclooctadiene with pyrimidinethiol, pyridinethiol, Benzene thiol, and 1,2- benzene dithiol gives the corresponding thiolate complexes via oxidative addition of thiols and reductive elimination of methane at room temperature. Spectroscopic data and X-ray crystallographic data of the products will be discussed during the presentation.
