Two-step, one-pot synthesis of 5-aryl-2-amino-1,3,4-oxadiazoles using microwave-assisted synthesis

A two-step, one-pot method for the synthesis of 5-aryl-2-amino-1,3,4-oxadiazoles is described. This method dramatically shortens the reaction times from days to only 10 minutes, by heating the reaction mixtures with microwaves.
