The synthesis and characterization of "symmetric" and "asymmetric" benzenesulfonamide substituted cyclopenta[d]pyridazines will be presented. The imine-enamine ring closure reaction from 4-hydrazinobenzenesulfonamide with a acyl substituted hydroxyfulvene will be presented as well as the synthesis and characterization of the 1,2-substituted symmetric and asymmetric hydroxyfulvenes.
