The range of reliable organometallic reactions has increased greatly over the last few decades and it is commonplace to see such reactions in a high throughput chemistry environment. The removal of metals such as palladium, tin, lead, iron, cobalt, nickel and copper from organic reactions and samples is therefore essential to provide clean, screenable compounds for synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry. Herein, we describe several polymer supported metal scavengers, which effectively remove a variety of metals from organic solutions without the need for silica or other chromatography products.
