2H-Azirine 3-phosphonates: Regioselective oxidation of NH aziridine phosphonates

Enantiopure NH aziridine phosphonates 1 are versatile chiral building blocks for the asymmetric synthesis of α- and β-amino phosphonates and 2H-azirine 3-phosphonates 2, a new class of chiral iminodienophiles. These azirines, 2 and 3, were prepared by oxidation of 1 and the effect of substituted groups and different reaction conditions will be presented.
