| A decrease in reaction time, increase in yield and a more environmentally save medium for organic reactions is the goal of microwave methodology. We are exploring this methodology on oxidation reactions of alcohols. Fine tuning reaction conditions and comparing them to their conventional oxidation methods is one of the goals of this project. Our poster will concentrate on results obtained from the oxidation reactions that used the secondary alcohols, 9-fluorenol and cyclohexanol respectively. |
