Many researchers use the cyclized peptides to restrict conformations and increase enzymatic stability. Peptide cyclization may come in the form of disulfide bridges or amide bonds. The cyclization procedure takes from 12 to 24 hours. Microwave technology has decreased the reaction times of many chemical modifications from days to minutes. This application can also be applied to the cyclization of peptides. This paper will demonstrate the different modes of peptide cyclizations with reaction times much quicker than conventional reaction times.
