| A large number of systems in which C60 is covalently linked to electron donors by a variety of semirigid and flexible linkers, as well as supramolecular complexes of C60 with several different types of electron donors, have been studied in our laboratory in the past year. We have also succeeded in preparing catenanes and rotaxanes in which porphyrins and C60 are mechanically linked a la Sauvage. The routes to such hybrid systems as well as their unusual photophysical properties will be described and discussed. |
