Asymmetric Transfer Hydrogenation : A New Class of Ruthenium (II) Arene/Ligand Dimer.

The preparation of a new class of ruthenium (II) arene dimer, bearing either a chiral aminoalcohol or a chiral monotosylated diamine linked to the ancillary arene ligand, will be presented. This one component ruthenium/chiral ligand dimer is an efficient catalyst in the asymmetric transfer hydrogenation reaction of ketones and results will be described.
