| Toward a new asymmetric two-center catalysis, we have recently developed several catalysts showing Lewis acidity as well as Lewis basicity. Using the above catalysis, we have succeeded in developing a catalytic asymmetric cyanosilylation of ketones and ketoimines, and a catalytic asymmetric Reissert-type reaction, leading to new catalytic enantioselective construction of molecules with tetrasubstituted carbons. Application of the above reactions to the syntheses of drugs, as well as natural products, will also be presented. |
